Charlotte Region Housing Market Update: January 2025 Trends

The U.S. real estate market showed mixed results in January 2025. Existing-home sales dropped 4.9% to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 4.08 million, but sales were still up 2.0% from the previous year. 

The median existing-home sales price rose 4.8% from January 2024 to $306,900. Inventory of unsold homes increased by 3.5% from the prior month to 1.18 million units, according to the National Association of REALTORS (NAR).
