Matthews brings something most agents do not have: more than two decades of professional experience in Human Resources. Before pursuing real estate full time, she spent 23 years working as an HR professional, starting her career in social services after earning a Bachelor of Arts in Counseling from Marshall University. She has called Charlotte home since 1993.
She obtained her real estate license in 2020 and spent several years working with both buyers and sellers on a part-time basis. In January 2026, she made the move to full-time real estate, joining Showcase Realty to grow her practice and deepen her impact in the Charlotte market.
Matthews says her HR background shapes the way she works with clients. "After 23 years in HR, I know how to listen, how to negotiate, and how to help people make clear decisions in stressful moments.
