Hilton Worldwide and Levine Properties To Establish New Hotel In First Ward

Canopy by HiltonHilton Worldwide has recently signed a letter of intent with Levine Properties as they plan to establish a new hotel in Charlotte’s First Ward.

Hilton announced during the launched of their Canopy by Hilton that plans to bring Canopy hotels to 11 different markets and one of which is Charlotte. Hilton claims that their newest brand has attracted various ownership groups including Levine Properties by Daniel Levine, currently owning a 24-acre land in First Ward.

According to the news release, Canopy is described as a less capital-intensive in terms of its design and is aimed at providing “an energizing, comfortable stay with more included value.”

Other markets, described as “key urban neighborhoods and vibrant secondary markets,” where the Canopy hotels would be developed include Portland, Oregon; London; Miami; Washington, D.C.; San Diego; Nashville, Tennessee.; Savannah, Georgia.; Indianapolis; Oklahoma City; and Ithaca, New York.
