Third Ward is alive with action and there are many activities for all to enjoy!
Third Ward, known as the west quadrant, is nestled between Tryon Street, I-77, and West Trade Street. It is the most diverse of the city's four original quadrants.
Everything you need is in this ward and there's something to do everyday of the week.
Charlotte's Uptown Third Ward community is home to the Carolina Panthers, who play at the Bank of America Stadium, the ward's most recognizable symbol.
Third Ward is also home to the ballpark neighborhood. New apartment towers surround Romare Bearden Park and BB&T Ballpark. It is also the location of the Knight Theatre, the Mint Museum, the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art, and the Harvey Gantt African American Culture Center.
Anchoring the west side of Third Ward is Gateway Village, the largest current development.
