Grubb Properties To Do Renovations at Their 30 South Tryon Building To Keep Charlotte Chamber As Tenant

Grubb Properties is planning to do some renovations at the 330 South Tryon building as they aim to retain the Charlotte Chamber as their tenant.

According to real estate records, the planned renovation of the office building will include the installation of a new 14-foot curtain wall, a wide exterior patio, a glass guardrail system.

The five-story building, located at South Tryon Street and West Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, was purchased by Grubb Properties earlier this year for $12.1 million. The Charlotte Chamber currently leases 30,000 square feet of the building, and is set to lease renewal next year.

Grubb Properties Senior Vice President Jonathan Nance says that they are still discussing the renovation details with the Charlotte Chamber as part of their lease negotiations, however, no deal hasn’t been made yet.

“We are working with the chamber on some renovations to help secure them and have 330 South Tryon as their long-term home,” Nance says.

Furthermore, Nance claims that the real estate firm as already completed approximately a million dollars in capital improvements at the said building including common-area upgrades, a new HVAC equipment, along with a new roof.

Since 1995, the Charlotte Chamber has been a tenant of the office building.
